visetin says:

Thanks a million Bro! I just changed my shit out this morning using your
video thanks again Gilbert :)

luis guzman says:

So, after you changed the thermostat you don’t need to add more coolant?

Monie Wms says:

Thank you soooo much, Gilbert! Your video on the radiator and this one
helped me so much.

Gilbert Arciniega says:

I was issues with a little overheating. When I replaced the thermostat. It
did stop for a while.

Wayne G says:

Was your car overheating before you changed it ?

Bobby Reid says:

Hey zombieno1, FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT PUSSY!!!!!!

Emt Scythe says:

Yes not important at all that your parts match. Jesus how is this car still
running and driving.

Gilbert Arciniega says:

Because I know how to keep it running. Without the dishonest mechanics
being unreasonable.

brishnababy says:

Good job sir

Toby Berry says:

Thanks, Gilbert this helped me on a 01′ Galant 2.4L.

Gilbert Arciniega says:

@Jayboy671 One way to test for a bad water pump is to squeeze the upper
radiator hose when the engine is hot and idling. Careful, because teh hose
willb e HOT! If you do not feel much coolant circulating through the hose
when you rev the engine, the pump may be bad. The other cause might be a
bad thermostat that is not opening properly (remove and inspect the
thermostat), or a clogged radiator.

yangstown says:

@Jayboy671 Thanks fo tha vid man. I’ve just changed my thermostat after
watching this demo and my overheating worries are gone.

Mike Robertson says:

Thanks for the Video. I’m not much of a car repair guy, But I’m tired of
paying $800 to get a $25 part replaced.

APiTBuLL says:

Thanks for the video…helped me alot! I just replaced the thermostat after
owning my eclipse 3 years. But i have a qustion…why your thermostat is so
rusty ?…mine looked like new when i removed it. did you used water
instead of antifreeze?

j2mane says:

Preciate it man

Gregg Hancock says:

Thanks I would have gone for the top housing

Nick Cruz says:

Is the thermostat located in the same place as a 01 eclipse ?

Gilbert Arciniega says:

@APiTBuLL I was never able to make out why my car did that. I had problems
with boil overs and losing water. Even after replacing the radiator too. I
still had that rusty water and coolant, puzzled me.

aranaedgardo says:

Lol, like the accent. Sounds like Stewie making a southern accent

vtecboy9 says:

thanks for the video..i’m going to replace the thermostat on my eclipse
this week (: I just want to ask you if you recommend the autozone
thermostat?…Because im going to get one from autozone just like you
hehehe, but is this thermostat any good?…any troubles with it or it’s
quality? thanks

wunderman1234 says:

Did you not have to buy any extra gaskets to put on?

aznrice402 says:

@fueledbymusic3 MITSUBISHI OEM! OVERHEATING IS FROM DEFECTIVE W/P, STUCK
THERMOSTAT, LOST OF COOLANT. FAN DOESNT WORK B/C STUCK THERMOSTAT

ahdrumer says:

whats the thermostat housing connected to ? (the part where the upper
radiator hose connects to the engine)

mambacx says:

was the old thermostat stuck open or closed?

Gilbert Arciniega says:

@wunderman1234 Well my car did not have any sort of paper gasket when I
removed. Instead the thermostat has a rubber seal that surrounds it. That’s
the “gasket”.

zombieno1 says:

Nope. Not a hater. I said thanks for the help. I know plenty of good
potatoes. I was wishing good health for your kids.

zombieno1 says:

this is a lot of help.. everyone has their purpose. But damn you are
borderline retarded AND reproduced. Hope you’re kids grow up with no
problems.

cmartinez0885 says:

thanks for the tip bro….by the way i need to remove the egr valve from my
eclipes to… hows the best way to do this….

etarter says:

Frano Lisse says:

thanks for the video it was a big help!

Gilbert Arciniega says:

Ummm yeah, So you can use a screwdriver to pry out the old ther-mo-stat? a
screwdriver to pry out the old ther-mo-stat? a screwdriver to pry out the
old ther-mo-stat?

Still0ne says:

Thanks for the video, I used your information to do the thermostat on my
01′ Misubisihi Eclipse V6. The differences I came to was that there was a
lot less space to work with, I had to remove the battery in my car to get
at it. The wiring harnesses around that area is a little more complicated
so I had to undo some of those, but nothing crazy. The area where the
thermostat is located, the metal housing has 3 screws holding it in place
instead of 2 like on your car, and I reused the old gasket.

Gilbert Arciniega says:

I believe it was connected to a metal tubing that crosses the back of the
engine, for which it leads to the water pump. I am not fully sure, cause I
dont have this eclipse anymore. But I really believe its a metal tube
crossing the back

wunderman1234 says:

@fueledbymusic3 oh ok thanks

Gilbert Arciniega says:

@Jayboy671 If the water pump is bad, you will see water leaking from the
area of the water pump. (located in the timing belt area). The overheating
from a bad waterpump happens when too much water (coolant) is losed from
the leaking water pump. From my experience, overheating happens when. 1)
fan is not working properly, 2) clogged radiator, 3) bad thermostat, 4) not
enough water (coolant) in the system.

etarter says:

pull back, good god. you are zoomed way too far the hell in on the camera

Gilbert Arciniega says:

If it’s a 4 cyl, it should be.
