Yes you can but you must becarefule the engine might move forward or
backwards a bit . I recommend you get someone to help you!
Whenever dealing with motor mounts you should be taking so of the stress
off the mounts by using a floor jack usually on the transmission oil pan.
You can either use a block of wood or a phone book and just jack up the
motor until you see the engine rise. Don’t go too far since you’d be
putting even more stress on the mounts then. For your broken bolt your
going to want one person to slowly jack it up while you grab the bolt and
try to wiggle it out while you keep jacking it up.

Dont feel bad for paying over 400.00. The mechanic i went to wanted
1,559.00. I told him he was nuts. The parts are not so expensive ans u can
do it yourself. Save your money and put it for better use.
@76camaro327 Thats a 2.5L KLDE V6, thats a ford probe 2nd gen not sure of
the exact year but its 93 – 97. How do i know this? I recently owned one.

ok the bolt that holds the mount has snapped. so i can use a jack to move
the engine upwards to bring the bolt back into its hole?

I see that the body bracket bolt secures the motor mount by going through
the body stud mounting surface. Does this also secure the mount’s engine
bracket surface to the engine itself?
