Thanks. This helped with my 2000 Galant. I had been trying to figure out why the blower was so weak. After puling the filter, it blows about as hard on 2 as it did on 4. Releasing the glove compartment was slightly different (but even easier to figure out) but behind it, it looked just like your video.

3shotwin says:

thanks.. thats what I did..

Dan Vo says:

Daniel said that he had to actually make a cutout on the plastic

3shotwin says:

THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT ONE FOR MY ’03.. If anyone would post for an 03 it would be welcomed.

for any future people looking at this video,
the 2005 mitsubishi lancer has a nearly identical process to remove the in cabin air filter. and i bet there are other models of mitsubishi that are the same as well.

Thank you very much my friend. installed! I was lucky that the agency had the filter and lid.

pollituzx says:

excellent, so it was then!. many grace my friend. dismount almost the whole engine, looking for the damn filter. jaja. muchas gracias.

Dan Vo says:

Here is another image for you. For the first time installation, the filter housing is sealed. Use a sharp knife to cut the cover along the lines to form a rectangular open. Remove and dispose the cut out cover. Good luck!

Just Google: TYC #: 800083C

You will get the PDF image

pollituzx says:

everything is identical but the white compartment, the lancer is sealed and is gray and no option to remove it. bad luck thanks anyway.
