Might have to do this very soon. Lately when driving my Evo X I’ve been getting the “Service Required” light. Think I might need a new pump. Its been quite hot here in the U.K past few days, don’t know if that might have an effect on it. It’s coming up to 50,000 miles. Should have it checked out tomorrow to know what code pops up but wanted to know if its safe to drive as it is.

Joe Momma says:

What year is your x? Did you call back? Is it covered under warranty?

Did you unplug some wires or did you disconnect the relay?

FYI Mitsubishi extended the warranty for corrosion, so you could have had the pump replaced for free through the dealership. It's a common issues. I had mine replaced.

EVO_DNA says:

These are recalled, I hope you didn't pay for a new one cuz Mistubishi replaces these for free

James Farrell says:

You should look into Driven Fab's pump relocation kit ! moves the pump into the trunk to avoid corrosion
