I pulled this apart but the aircon vents don’t quite go back in properly?
Like they have a little movement?

DEOTANUR says:

Very Good Video. Straight Forward and Accurate.

Blyyyth says:

@3zy2nv You can get the manual from Gregorys service manuals in Australia.
It has a wiring diagram for both the Magna and the Verada Xi – in fact it
has the complete wire diagram with colour coding for the whole electrical
system as well. Try here – haynes.com.au/prod1987.htm

Hey mate, does what you unclip next to the drive seat foot well have
anything to do with the air conditioning fascia? My right side pulls out as
yours does but the left side wont budge. It seems completely stuck. I can
pry it up a little but Ive done a little damage to the face by doing so I
don’t want to do more damage. Is it just a matter of force or is there some
trick to it?

ashboxtoo says:

thanks man this is awesome, im replacing my cdplayer with mp3/aux-in player
soon this will help me heaps

Christopher Rogers says:

Hey man! I acctually had to take the CD player out of my TF Magna today. I
had never done it before. Saw this vid AFTER I finished hahaha. Your method
seems to be a little complicated. I found that if you remove the
ashtray/ciggy lighter surround and undo the two screws for the air con
fascia, you can just grab under the panel and pull outwards. The whole
panel should come off, leaving the CD head unit and the air con controls in
the dash. You then undo the 4 screws holding the frame to the HU.

Good video

Jeebus. I’m in the process of buying a 2003 TJ S2 Sports. I’m hoping the
“climate control” unit doesn’t complicate this much more. My old ford
(1990) was much easier, the screws were visible at the front and that made
it immediately accessible. Did look tacky though.

thanks for the demo i have never dismantled anything like this before and
finding your video in a matter of seconds i had dash apart old radio
removed and new stereo in within two hrs, the hardest part i found was
removing the air vent grills being careful not to damage anything. thanks
again for a very well described and informative description thumbs up …..

Thanks very much.

Blyyyth says:

The is a person on ebay in Australia that was selling the workshop manuals
(for every model of Magna) on CD for about $15. Just for clarity – I have
nothing to do with the sale of these manuals.

D3ViOUSBLACK says:

It should just pull off

damoose10 says:
