"G" or Comfort Shackle install + TEST – shown on a Mitsubishi L200

Empty pick-ups have a bouncy ride, some might say harsh !

So we were kindly recommended to look at G shackles or some call them comfort shackles.

They suggest that these offer a much smoother ride on or off road as the shackles allow free movement of the axle in a vertical manner and therefore providing a more cushioned comfortable ride.

The shackles are made from heavy duty steel with 3 points of articulation as opposed to 2 points for normal shackles.

Ours came from Aliexpress – there are a multitude to offerings ( and ebay etc) they are vehicle specific, so watch out – but the main issue we found is price – the same photo is everywhere but prices differ wildly for what looks the same thing – so be careful who you buy from.

Simple job, can be done on the driveway with basic tools.

They are in an ugly orange color

or it's also activated when the temperature of the car increases? My truck overheated and when i pulled over and checked the fans, this fan was not working.

I have seen the shakle in three different sizes. You choose the big 2,5" inch one if my eyes are still working right ?
Dis you have spacers in the front axel as well? 1.5" leads ro a 2,5" lift up. I ask myself if the back axel is one to one

Alfa Bravo says:

Well done. What is the difference / advantage of this way than using solid massive aluminium / plastic block direct on the axels, please ?
