Rear, down stream o2 sensor replacement on Mercury Villager, Nissan Quest – VOTD

O2 sensor replacement: 30 to 60 minutes ($45 / $150 / $220)

In this video I helped a friend replace the downstream o2 sensor on their 1999 Mercury Villager. I’m sure this process is the same on the Nissan Quest and other models of this type of vehicle.

Buy and replace a $57 sensor on a blind bet that being 10 years old means no longer worth keeping around, THEN begin troubleshooting? I like your videos, but not that type of diagnosing engine issues. Still watching for other things to learn though.

Have you ever changed the heating hoses behind the intake manifold?
Do you have to remove the intake manifold or is there a simpler way? thank you for your support!
