Flammable solvent will cause damage to the IACV Optical sensor, so i world recommend soap and water. Yes the villager induction system is different than the one in this video.
Just to Put this out there, You can and should use Mass Airflow Sensor Cleaner for the IACV. Its a cleaner specifically made for the MAF sensor so it doesn’t leave deposits, hence it works on the IACV too. I would also like to note that in many Service manuals on Fords & Nissans I have read, After cleaning, Use a few drops of new and clean Engine Oil to lube the IACV.
The PCV Valve is located right beside the EGR valve (located in behind but attached to the intake manifold) and has a thick black tube connected to it, when that tube is removed, it will expose the PCV valve from there. Thank you very much for the great insight. all necessary changes was made to the video title, hope this help you. thank you.
U R correct.Thank you very much for the insight.2000 Villager, the PCV valve is pressed into a rubber grommet on a 90 degree tube extension from the rear valve cover, which is then connected by a black hose to a nipple extension on the upper rear intake manifold. The way to remove it is to unbolt the bracket attached to the intake manifold holding the accelerator cable, using ‘right angled’ pliers to open, then push the hose clamp back from the end of the hose attached to the intake manifold,
This isn’t the same version or positioning of the VG33E as in the ’99-’02 Nissan Quest & Mercury Villager. If you actually worked on one of these vans, you will see that its ALOT harder then it is in the Frontier’s & Pathfinders…….
…I still can’t find the PCV Valve on my ’01 Villager Which has the VG33E, But its Transverse Mounted.

Yea, and Yes. The video you recommend will be uploaded in a few.DO NOT clean the IACV with flammable solution(cleaner). Inside the IACV is a fiber optic sensor which emitted a light to monitor the stepper motor valve position. It is best to use Soap & Water for cleaning the sensor. And this will required removal of the plenum for IACV cleaning.

sweet video good job!
Great videos! Is there anyway to clean the IACV without removing the intake plenum? Also, do you have any vids on removing the plenum from the beginning step?
