If you haven’t seen this already … one of the latest YouTube hits is a
cover of Queen’s “Somebody to Love”, performed by Canadian Marc Martel.
Queen’s drummer (Roger Taylor) had launched a contest to find vocalists and
musicians for a Queen tribute band. Martel (currently living in Nashville
and performing in a Christian rock band) submitted a video for the contest,
and his audition video is already over 2 million views (compared to
thousands for the other audition videos). The reason for its success is
that Martel’s voice is a dead ringer for Freddie Mercury’s. Here’s a link
