Thanks Go video

Brandon Dye says:

I can’t thank you enough for all your help!! I have the same motor and your
videos couldn’t be any better.

Brandon Dye says:

Oh, I started my motor after following all your videos and my motor turned
over very slow, so I am rebuilding my starter now after I have already
checked spark and timing. I just wanted to thank you for your help!!!

Roy G. Biv says:

You are correct! I am having thoughts of building one to fit the 40 so
maybe I should start with putting a hitch on the Outback!?

Roy G. Biv says:

The bendix//starter motor pinion geat is supposed to get light oil – sae10w
per my shop manual. WD40 is OK for now, but I would follow it up with light
oil. Heat wave here is supposed to be a bit better tomorrow here. MH

cturboaddict says:

You may have your timing a bit retarded. Which can cause a slow turn over.
They do have starters online for around 60.00 new. Email me and I’ll share
the ebay link.

cturboaddict says:

If you watch the carb rebuild videos— I bring that service bulletin up!
🙂 Delete the crossover hose, and cap em. Like I did, no critters and fixed.

cturboaddict says:

🙂 Gotcha. RGB, you need to be looking for a boat anyhow bruddah!!!

donadthegonad says:

“Watch out Honkey!!” I have to dig into a 1150 one of these days so am
trolling through all your videos. Did you ever see a service bulletin about
the back drag carbs? I had 2 of the air jets on the float bowl vibrate out
of mine and when I tried finding replacements the Merc guy told me to just
leave them out. I guess that with the bigger opening the vacuum from the
carbs couldn’t create the leaning out scenario. I just worry about crap or
critters getting into the bowls.

cturboaddict says:

Building the boat?? To each their own, but you’re more than likely going to
say at the end of it…. I should of just bought one.
