Mercury Mariner No Crank Fix – Ignition Lock Assembly Replacement – Escape – Focus – Tribute – DIY

Welcome back to the channel!

Today, I cover a simple fix to a common problem on the Mercury Mariner, Mazda Tribute, Ford Focus & Ford Escape. The problem is when you turn the key to the start position, nothing happens. Sometimes giggling or pushing on the key allows it to start and other times, it doesn’t.

The problem lies in the ignition lock assembly. This is how to take care of it.

Awesome thank you. What if a guy was really cheap and he just took off the first part(electrical) you put on and just kind of put a bit of tape or bit of epoxy or something to make those connections tight and snug again would that work? You know the Mechanical part of it on the driver side of the steering wheel?
