Thank you , I just fixed mine. My 1 and 2 were out. I will say your video
drove me nuts with the sound. YOu should have put up TEXT or something. I
understand you had trouble by not being aware ofyour mic. And no, I could
NOT see what you were talking about at first as you were in the dark and
just bobbing around. Best edit that out. but why not OVERDUB with one of
the various free programs like Windows Movie Maker or iMovie? You are
allowed to edit the video with fixes.

glad to view this, my 2009 ford escape has the same problem! good video but
poor sound and lighting could be better. Hope I can do this!

Dealer gave me a quote of $150 + taxes to replace the resistor in my 2008
Escape. $18 for the resistor and $5 for a 5/16 combination wrench later, I
replaced it myself and it works like a charm. Thanks for the video!

Hey thanks for posting the video! My 2009 Mercury Mariner had the same
problem so I brought in to the dealer AutoFair Ford in Manchester, NH. That
was in 2011 when it had 47000 miles. The charge was $223.41. $42.87 for the
blower resistor and $174.42 in LABOR. Two days ago @ 101000 miles it
started again. I pulled my bill and googled the part # and found it online
for $21.00. Then I went to YouTube and found your video. GUESS WHO IS
GETTING A PHONE CALL! THANKS!

Lisa Jommen Daveley says:

Thank you! Just fixed this on my 2009 Escape too. Dealer said it would cost
$160 – quite a savings to fix it for $20. Thanks for the help.
