The magnet has separated from the float, so I popped the locking clip off, and gluing it back to the float, and should rectify the faulty alarm. Once the magnet has separated itll forever sense low oil despite the float being up….reason being, is the magnet separated from the float.

I am going to attempt it. How dis you remove the wires that connect the oil tank. Just pull it apart? Thanks
Is this a serviceable item? How did you get the magnet & float out of the bottle? I have a 115HP and the bottle is quite deep
My 1990 90hp has the same problem.. did it put your outboard into limp mode?
