since this video i took the boat for several test runs but the highest rpm
the tach would read was 2250. it should be double that so i wrapped the
(red) read wire around both spark plugs and now its reading the normal RPM
when at WOT. Thanks for watching!
sorry newb question, are you wrapping the red wire from tach “just around
the the outer wire sleeve” of spark plug wire, or is there a bare wire to
wire contact? if wire is just on the outer wiresleeve of plug wire, how
does it read through the sleeve? Not to be a smart butt, but how do you get
an accurate reading by just revving prop in a bucket or just with ear muffs
on motor? I have a 2008 20hp yamaha on a 14′ lund for fishing and was
curious to go with a 9 1/4 x 9 or 10 pitch,3/4 blade?
Very nice are you going to get a new prop?
@ShallowAssault772 Im planning on it! im not sure what size to get, my pro
doesnt say what pich it is..
Hey, need to do this on my 20. Can you show or explain how you managed to
wrap both plug wires with the one red wire? Thanks!
So does it read min and hrs?
@pacifictaca it reads minuets up until you reach 60minuets of running time.
then it switches over and counts by hours only. thanks for watching.
Nice Gheenoe, I have an LT25 with a 25Hp Merc, I’m going to add the Tiny
Tach this weekend!
