Hey jmartx9, do you mean the sound is lousy with headsets, attached
speakers or through the Mercury’s speakers? Also, the sound sucks compared
to what? Other phones, the iPhone, your stereo?: I can tell you the sound
from the speakers on the Mercury sucks, and IMO those on most Android phone
probably would.
No nails will certainly make it harder. You might be able to find something
small enough around your home to use (carefully) instead. As you can see
fromt he vid, it wasn’t simple for me, either.
I don’t do or know about crack/hack-type stuff. Try taking it to your local
Cricket shop, they might be able to help you find the owner.

i used a small flat head screw driver to pry my cover open. When it first
gave way it felt as if I had broken the cover but it when right back into
form

Huawei certainly didn’t make it simple.
Ah yes, the sound DOES suck from the phone’s speakers. Of course I’d think
its the same case for most Android phones because I just don’t think they
COULD have good speakers. I rely on external powered speakers when I do
listen, and even they only have good quality (not great). Cheers!

A small flat head like those used to work on computers? That sounds
perfect. I know what you mean about it sounding/feeling like the case may
have broken, you kinda get a feel for that after a while.
Its much easier to open the Samsung Galaxy S3, I can tell you that!
