"Liked" your vid but I have a ? I bought a 1994 Hurricane Deck boat with a Yamaha 150 Saltwater Series 2 engine. Didn't put 20 hrs on boat and spun the Hub. Ok..so I'm retired Air Force, 1st boat and it doesn't have wings!! 1st time I've ever had to deal with a boat issue. Anyway I believe this prop is a replacement and I don't know what kind it is except it's stainless steel. I popped the hub out of the prop and it seems to be all metal. I called our local marine folks and they said it might be a "pressed" in hub but wanted to know who manufactured the prop. I don't have a clue. If it was a fighter aircraft I could probably tell them! I see all kinds of videos on r&r for hubs but I just don't know……

Very helpful! Thanks! Best place to buy the replacement parts?

I found the video useless. First, you go into the bug with a screwdriver and it comes apart. NO idea what you did or how. Then you show damage inside hub with such bad light nothing at all can be seen. Then it goes back together with no explanation or detail. One a one to ten, a one.

This was years ago, but I was always told that it takes a special press/machine to install those hubs properly, or is that a newer design for the prop in this video? I live here in central Florida, and back when I had a bigger boat, motor, and prop, I heard from everyone that there were only 2 shops in the entire state that press-fit the new hubs in, and also, that they needed to sit and "swell", and then drive the boat easy for a few hours before dropping the hammer, to allow the new hub to seat properly. So I was rather surprised to see this video. Seems like I remember the older style hubs were made of rubber. All of the shops in my area of Brevard county would take your prop & send it off to 1 of those 2 places for new hub installation. ????????????
