If there’s a good seal on the box, it should be okay. You may want to try to re-seat the air filter in the box to see if it will close easier. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
if the orange rubber part of the filter is showing out side of the box, is that a bad thing when closed?
It may make a slight difference in the gas mileage, and maybe another 1-2 horsepower increase.
if you get a k & n air filter instead of the stock air filter does that really make a difference?
