In real life, he would use air tools

geeze..what a pain in the ass…just think how easy it wood be if they just
put a simple access panel out by the heater core …looks like a 5 hour job
.i had a 69 merc monterey with a/c and you could change the heater core in
15 minutes becuase they used a simple access panel …not like today though

i am going to have to do this to my mountaineer before long is there anyway
to see all of these videos in order ?

alb12345672 says:

get a skill power wrench (or other cordless type tool) to do this job. I
don’t think the skill power wrench is sold anymore.

Do you have video for 2000 ranger heater core removal or will this video
work for a 2000 Ranger+

dpanchak says:

Great video I just wish it was move complete. I have the side bolts out
near the passenger and driver doors. And I have the two bolts out on top of
the dash but I’m not getting out from there. What am I missing. I’ve taken
the steering wheel assembly down. I’ve got the center console out and I’ve
got all the instruments and connectors out as well. Any idea? Oh and it’s a
2004 explorer XLT. Thanks! – Doug

drain and refill an automatic transmission just to make sure that i had
everything understood. He does a good job. He just needs to lose expert
vilage. Comon man make your own channel. ev SUX!

shellsman33 says:

ive been wrenching for about 25 yrs, i cant believe there were no curses
made in this vid, fords are the most complicated ones. but im glad he did
this on a v8 one because i was stuck on stupid with the newer cars, and i
have to put one in my 97 v8 exploader, from just me looking at my vehicle i
was stumped, but after watching this group of vids, id dont seem to bad
maybee like an hour and a half, and it is not wise to use air tools on
interior parts except seats or seat belts. LOL..

92eclipsegsx says:

I would imagine it’s exactly the same for a 2000 Ranger.

domneth says:

This guy does alot of good videos. I always get a kick out of him running
his car with his garage door closed, but nonetheless, good instructions.

Most special tools can be rented for free at most auto parts. The deposit
is often the price of the part so you return it. Harbor freight also sells
tools and Norther Tools. You can also visit Zorro Tools. You may find it
cheaper. Ask in a forum what you may need and you often get really good
help. Buying a small special bit tool box from harbor freight is a really
good idea.

Amie K.F says:

my brother has a 2001 Ford Explorer and when they took all the dash off and
was ready to go, they found they had to take air conditioner out before
they could replace the heater core, of course they also found you need
special tools to take out that. so it is a pain in the butt therefore it is
still not fixed..
