I have a 2011 E 350 with 100,000 miles that has a most irritation interior squeak that only happens when it’s warm and the car is in motion. Seems worse when you make a turn. The source of the noise is hard to determine, I’ve I’ve tried to identify it while sitting in both front and back seats. I thought it might be the plastic in the roof, back window, or trunk seal. Sprayed silicone at all these locations, but the warm weather squeak continues. Started doing this 4 years ago. Any ideas? Thanks, Larry

So I have one and I’m having issues with throttle. If I barely press the gas, it’s like the vehicle stutters but still goes. If I push the gas with a little more enthusiasm it goes normal. Mercedes’ Benz dealership told me it’s the transfer case and it cost $8k. Can anyone else here help??

Jonathon Baker-Guntang says:

They will last if you properly maintain the vehicle, but be aware of required maintenance. Do research before purchasing one of these vehicles regarding the cost of maintenance, because you are still paying to service the expensive when new vehicle. As example, My upcoming service B (oil/filter change, new wipers, cabin air filter, inspection, brake fluid change) = $600…New front right marker light part = $17/installation $129…Just installed new engine air filter…Part = $45 (did this myself as the dealership charges $180ish), Also need transmission fluid/filter change approximately = $300…..SO basically next scheduled service can easily exceed $1000. Not complaining as my car is worth it to me, just trying to make others aware regarding the true cost of ownership….Also, vehicle can only run on 91+ octane fuel. If you don't plan to properly care for the vehicle then don't buy it. Granted, you could do the work yourself if so inclined and skilled.

Myron Hights says:

2012 E550 4MATIC 108k; having problems at parking lot speed when I make a full turn left or right in reverse or drive. Wheels make a spuddering effect like it scoots and grinds.

Shop said it was transfer case, another person told me it could be the multi disk clutch pack.

Anyone ever had issues in this ?
