If the windows on your w210 no longer have the auto up and down function then this video will show you how to reset them so that they work. The auto up/down windows did not come on all w210s. Later model cars had them. 1999-2002 had them on all 4. Early 1996 and 1997 may not have had them at all. You can tell if the switch has 2 stages vs 1.

I sold my E55 recently, but as I recall you can just do one window at a time. All the way down, then all the way up. Same with the sunroof, open then close. There is a stability control or something that requires turning the steering wheel lock to lock a couple times as well. And maybe something with seats/headrests? You need to remember these steps any time you disconnect the battery. I never drove mine in the winter (northern Wisconsin) and had to replace the battery because it didn’t survive. The manual says to charge it if not driven for 30 days but I think that requires a battery in good condition. Still the best looking Benz sedan!

In my car you leave the windows up and press any window switch UP individually into the first position until you hear a click. That resets it. 2002, European model.
