Doug, I just stumbled upon your video because it linked up to my W210 video. Ironically, I’m having the similar “stop light switch” woes. Last summer my ABS, BAS, and ESP lights all came on like a Christmas tree on a long trip…and sure enough my cruise control stopped working. After research I put in a new stop light switch and it was fixed…until about a month ago…same problem again.
I’m going to try resoldering my relay and I’ll post back with the results!
