Sounds like a security alarm issue. I would disconnect the battery for few
minutes and reconnect. If that does not work, take to a repair shop. Good

omg should of tired this damn…i have a 2002 S500 and i had the SRS light
problem. The dealer told me I needed a new computer which costed about
$2000 to fix

Thanks! This worked on my ’99 E-class. I tried a small pocketknife, and
that didn’t work, but clicking and unclicking the seldom-used passenger
seatbelt a few times fixed it. Mine came on during a long, dark, rainy
trip. I wish I had known it was this easy to fix then!

Sorry for the late reply. Make sure the ignition is off so you don’t short
out the buckle.
