Great job and liked your previous explanation of the flap process/operation– so the levers, etc are in the front but hidden
As you probably know that is nothing but a breakdown waiting to happen, I mean cheap thin plastic combined with underhood heat = breakage. Do you work for MB? Asking due to your wrench

You know I have used Permatex #2 to hold things in place– an alternative to the string but if you are used to that method

Marc Smith says:

I know Rebuild Baster Tech or RMT. I just sent them an intake out of a 2008 S63 AMG last week.

L. Shumkov says:

The Official MB Service guide says to disconnect Only the right side connector of the ECU.

My 05' Mercedes C240 smoke from tail pipe for a few seconds after starting the car I also hear a ticking noise from engine and also I have the P0410 code with cylinder 2 misfiring time to time I am puzzled and want to do the repairs myself but do not know where to start you seem very educated with this engine any suggestions? Thanks

Nice video, I already suscribed,
I just bought this car and it has a mysterious unconnected plug, that I cannot find a place to put…
will take intake this friday so this video is fantastic. I will take it out to replace that front leveler

randy randolph says:

what goes wrong with these?

Travis Ceccacci says:

what is the proper torque on the the throttle body bolts? couldn't find the specs anywhere online. 2006 C230

Awesome video. Its timely that i stumbled on your video. Just had my engine light cone on today and i have a Mercedes 2011 C300. I have a p0300 code- although the car seems to drive fine and it doesnt appear ro be idling rough. I am going to have the dealership replace they spark plugs although they did not do that when i pad for Schedule B service to be done at 60Kmiles- go figure. I hope i dont have a problem with my Intake Manifold. Car has 96300 miles.

Autumn Winter says:

Wonder if anyone has been able to sneak that center pivot arm bolt out without removing the intake?
Would be niiiice if someone had a McGyver trick for that job.
I am referring to the plastic pivot arm that the front of engine intake vacuum actuators are connected to in which the center actuator arm snaps off from the center pivot arm.
There is not enough room to access and replace that center pivot arm bolt apparently and this requires removal of the intake manifold.

ajshe krasniqi says:

how do you add presure to fuel rail or does it do it by itself

Travis Ceccacci says:

There is a black wire loom that runs over my intake manifold and runs between manifold and fuel rail in the rear. It starts near the air circulation pump and appears to begin as a hazy yellow and narrow tubing. there are three of them that run by the circulation pump but only one continues over the manifold. what should I do? It looks like I can't remove manifold unless I first remove fuel rail due to that wire.

345_HEMI says:

how was the string removed that helps in holding the gaskets in place? I'm just curious, and was the intake replaced because of failed tumbler flaps? thank you

javier bustos says:

where does that little black hose go after you have installed the manifold

zaid khaled says:

good job but how you goona take out these rope after installing the manifold

Deonta Bryant says:

is this the same for R-350
