Theodore Bird says:

Kent is spot on about this – I carried this out myself on a ’96 C180 in the
UK. I connected the power to the positive terminal on the battery on the
boot, the trigger wire to the old hirschmann connection, and the ground to
the existing bodywork connection. I bought from Car Masts UK on ebay (wld
have bought from Kent if he was in the UK!) – THANKS KENT!

Luke Sky says:

I apply a hirschmann 2040 universal antenna into my 123C (some months ago)
with self parts and it is fits perfectly. It was costs like a used
original, but it is new and almost the same quality.

Well done Kent! I have had no antenna for years and wasn’t about to pay the
price for the factory unit!
