Had the same problem with my W123. Found on the net where it could be
leaking and sure enough, it was leaking under the battery tray. The tray
itself was rusted out and there was a lot of pinholes on the firewall ,
under the battery. I fixed the pinholes with many layers of POR-15 and find
a almost like new battery tray for $20.00 in a bone yard !
