What color is the fluid now, is it still cherry red. Im asking because my
tranny oil was changed only 5000 miles ago and already it looks dark brown.
I dont know if they did the full flush or not though. I dont know if the
oil is supposed to change color and if this is a problem

Excellent video!!! Thank you so much for posting!!

This is EXACTLY what I need to do. I can’t thank you enough for doing this
video!!
My local Mercedes dealer told me $389 (before tax and shop fees), for
filter and full 12 quart flush. which I guess isn’t that bad, but why not
do it for half the price.

Matt Neibaur says:

Thanks. I just changed my transmission fluid and filter based on your
video. Thanks for including the size of the nuts and torque specs…

Great video. I want to do this in my C240 and the way you did it looks like
the way I need to do it.

Grete video I was going to do the same on mine ML 270 just have to make
sure oil spec are good as some of oils have different numbers after the
“dot”in MB specification but I think that older trannys can use newer oils
with no problems.thanx again

Very well done. The shaky videography, however, did not live up to the
quality of the information! I will definitely be using this for my own DIY
project.

Hi, Thanks for posting this video. I have a 99 SL500 w/ 82k miles. I took
it to an indi shop and drained the pan and changed the filter and refilled
w/ Redline D4. My car is at the dealer now and they wand $260 to do fluid
exchange and filter change, yes w/ a machine. I was contemplating it, and
after watching your video, it’s a must do. And for $260 it’s a good
price. They also recommended I change the output seal at a cost of $382 –
which is a bit expensive, but I guess for a 15yr old SL, it’s justifiable.
I am definitely gonna do both now. Thanks

Great video. Are you able to create a video on the procedure of how to
perform a replacement of the brake pads on the E320 CDI? If you could, that
would be awesome!!!!
