@famezo12FUHQ yea I was thinking of that too but I think they charge a lot
for that so was doing some research and found a kit called the Kensington
liquidAUX deluxe which comes with a really nice steering wheel remote. you
might not even need the headphone amp as it uses the 30pin ipod connector
rather than the headphone jack which is known to be quiet. I think I will
get it but only problem is the aux connection needs to be routed closer to
the 12v socket or there will be a messy wire

MrGambaman says:

Vree wel bedankt !!

MezTube says:

My aux is in the glove box all the way hidden to the right, the newer
models are in the middle console

MezTube says:

how did you connect it??

Daniel says:

Just to add ,I expect better from Benz….!

MezTube says:

Me too, which is why I dumped it and got a Ford Fusion with a Sony sound
system…ridiculous the things my Ford offers that Mercedes didn’t unless I
paid them an extra 10 grand

jkernisant says:

Wow awesome. Where do I get the amp? I would like to invest in one for my
2000 ML 320.

MezTube says:

I dont understand why Mercedes doesn’t have SYNC like Ford does..its really
fucked.

Daniel says:

PCMCIA adapter ? ,what is this?

MezTube says:

@sambam007 hmmm…I’ll have to check that out 🙂 THANKS! It is soooo beyond
me why they can’t just make the iPod controllable through the steering
wheel, or have it play through bluetooth..its ridiculous

MrGambaman says:

Hi Could you please name me some brands of these devices ? i’am looking for
them ever since i saw you’re Youtube post but can’t seem to find them . I
hear you’re from USA , here in Europe the Iphones are set to a very low
volume (by law) , much lower then in the US .. Sorry for my bad english ,
hope you can help me ! Greets from Belgium ! x

MezTube says:

@sambam007 Yea I hate that too. I honestly have to slam the glove
compartment closed on the wire haha..its HORRIBLE that we can’t control the
iPod from the steering wheel. I had a crappy Ford Focus and it had a better
system than the Mercedes…I’m thinking of going to a place to see if they
can somehow rig the controls to the steering wheel, maybe install a new
radio specifically for the ipod…Its just terrible.

jianjianqiuqiu says:

Lol I hate how after I listen with my iPod then switch to sirius and it
scares the crap out of me because I turned it so loud… I bought a pcmcia
adapter for the slot. Best 30 dollars spent(and you can look at your music
from the display unlike the iPod!)

FRonTLinES10064 says:

Mine has no sound….. What should I do?

Turnad0z says:

FiiO E3 Headphone Amplifier is wat ik besteld heb, op Ebay voor 10 euro. In
theorie hoort het hetzelfde te doen als de amp die je in de video ziet.

Daniel says:

Looks useful ,I know exactly what you mean by ‘low volume issue’ ,these
days your iphone has more to listen to than the actual car radio .I’m
strongly thinking of copying you ,I see that website has a few similar
products ,not sure which to go for? Also I’ve had trouble with american
electrical goods in the past because of the voltage difference (I’m UK)
,perhaps this could be an issue?

MezTube says:

google iBasso.com sorry I took so long. I get NO notification when I get a
youtube reply

MezTube says:

ibasso, google it, it is the only one I have ever used. I am actually
selling mine since I bought a new car with a better sound system, inbox me
if you are interested!

sambam007 says:

I hate that the aux is in the glove compartment, got an A-class and want to
control my ipod without the glove comparment open all the time. what do you
do?

MezTube says:

Make sure it is plugged in and charged!! If the light is blue it is
charging, red is dead 🙂

Xpresion says:

if you want to get the most battery life from that amp then don’t have it
at full volume. Set the car volume to full and slowly adjust the amp until
you get the loudness your after 🙂 The reason why the sound drops so much
when u run equalizers is most likely, you have cranked up the bass “low Hz”
on the equalizer, this therefore consumes more power and causes an overall
volume drop because there isn’t enough power left for the audio to be at
normal loudness. great vid though!

MezTube says:

AUX button? You sure you have one? It isn’t standard, which is why I just
gave my Mercedes the boot. The AUX button is on the radio, it says AUX. The
Aux is in the glovebox way way way to the right..it SUCKS that they put it
there

dinarannie says:

how’d you connect your iphone to the aux? I have a c300 2011 & I can’t seem
to find the aux button!

MezTube says:

If anyone wants to buy the adapter I have it for sale. Bought a new car 😉

MrGambaman says:

Verry happy with you’re advice ! thx man !

MezTube says:

Its a computer adapter, PCMCIA Card, short for Personal Computer Memory
Card International Association as per wikipedia, so I am assuming it is
connected somehow?? waiting for jianjianqiuqiu to answer 🙂

Raymond Clark says:

Awesome Video! I have an 09 C300 with the same issue and now definitely
going to invest in the amp…Thanks Much

MezTube says:

no prob 🙂 Glad to help..my music just could not be messed with haha..had
to fix it!
