lonelyones38 says:

How low is your car?

lonelyones38 says:

Nice!!!

bobl78 says:

a dino 20w50 in such a car ? LOL

The oil Technology is from the 70`s

josh Anderson says:

also be sure not to fill past the maximum marker as it can blow seals in
your engine youre better off 1/2 or 3/4 full than over the max

josh Anderson says:

Just a tip for ya take off the oil cap and remove the dipstick as well as
the oil filter first when draining the oil also only use MB filters they
are the only ones that fit perfectly others allow small amounts of oil to
bypass the filter

fupabox says:

ouch!! sounds like a nightmare.. always pissed me off that MB stopped
building a 4 cyl. c-class without the supercharger..the old 2.2 and 2.3s
were indestructible..

fupabox says:

Lol…I’m going through the cars I always wanted list as fast as I can..I
almost bought an r230 last year but red was impossible to find in my
area..I saw the R129 and bought it instantly..I’m a sucker for cars in red
or Yellow for some reason 🙂

Blingdaa86 says:

When you take the filter off first the oil will drain faster, I think (so
there’s no vacuum) 🙂

KingStivan says:

nice clean car ^^ my slk 98 looks nasty by now :S damn dust kills every
thing QQ

fupabox says:

thank you..and you are very welcome

fupabox says:

fingers crossed on that…hope it stays together

fupabox says:

thanks..glad to help 🙂

fupabox says:

I have always loved the body style as well..I waited years to find one in
this color combination..amazing that it can ride so well, even on 275/30s
inflated to 40 psi,you can barely feel the bumps

KingStivan says:

ok but after 2 times opening the engine up to fix the head gasket ((i dont
think its fixed yet btw its losing water and the rad had blown off on the
corner from the pressure )) the transmission is jerky some times just had
both of my windows fixed replaced 2 speakers it only needs a new steering
assembly 4 new desks 1 back axe at least 2 shock absorbents oh ya the super
charger is about to be dead so i need 1 of these !! other than that its has
been a joy to own ^^

Baerchenization says:

Yeah I had already firmly set my eyes on an R129, but I realized I have no
place to put the roof in the City – and the R230 roof is just something you
can’t argue with. If you are a sucker for yellow, your next car will be a
Ferrari 355 Cabrio. And everybody will know you are a pimp 🙂

Verminous Titan says:

Thanks for sharing, I have the same car and Im learning a lot from your
vids, keep up the good work 🙂

KingStivan says:

it is still a nightmare ^^ and mine is the 2.3 s/c lets hope nothing falls
apart any time soon as i am broke and its my only car ^^

fupabox says:

thank you 🙂

Baerchenization says:

I can’t wait until you’ll upgrade yourself to an R230… 😉

1wasimtiger says:

KingStivan says:

hmm let me think about it ! well i bought it used doh the garage said its
ok but have oil leaks the very same day i bought it the car lost most of
its oil ((they said it have leaks )) the next day the transmission went
dead on me the roof didnt work like was before i bought it and in a week
found out that the car had a bad head gasket problem you know the usual ^^
my first germen car ^^ in 3 months the traction is not working anymore (gr8
news btw) and this is gona need another post hang on ^^

Maybe add in the description: oil capacity, recommended oil type and
weight, and P/N oil filter. Thank you

fupabox says:

yeah dust is like fine sandpaper every time you clean it off..how do you
like the SLK? any major problems with it ?

fupabox says:

great idea thanks..I’ll do that now.. appreciate the input

crunkenergy93 says:

Dang, nice R129. These were always my favorite body style for the sl’s.
Very strong and solid looking (& feeling) cars.

fupabox says:

I know what you mean but, usually you can just loosen the filler cap and get
the same result..possibly to keep the oil from draining backwards and
pulling junk out of the filter ?..I will ask my local dealership if there
is a specific reason
