Repair MB-tex upholstery using a leather repair kit.
After we had already replaced the driver’s seat bottom cushion once on our Mercedes W211 Estate / S211, we developed cracks in the MB-tex upholstery on the side bolster again.
We also had a crack on the top bolster, so we decided to try a different approach and repair the cracks.
Mercedes MB-tex upholstery is vinyl and not leather, so finding the right repair kit or material is not clear for small repairs like this. We used a typical leather repair kit and were happy with the results overall.
The repair isn’t perfect, but it’s better than before, and the cracks won’t spread any further.
