If one of your vent flaps seems stuck and preventing circulation try this.
Press the front defrost and recirculation buttons. This will reset the
actuator. It worked for me. Found the tip on a forum.

herrzimmer says:

nothing in my ’04 c240 except a big white styrofoam block. If i take it
out, there will be no door to hold the filters in. strange, as this car has
pretty much every option on it.

filterheads says:

The cabin filter over the battery filters the air that comes into the cabin
from outside. The cabin filters that are installed under the dash filter
the air as it circulates inside the cabin.

I could not find under the dash filter in mu C230 Kompressor. It looks like
it is not there in my model.

Freedomlover55 says:

I don’t have one and my C-class is from 2005. I just have the one above the
battery. It must be optional

Ilshat Karimov says:

I have just replaced air cabin filter under the hood right above the
battery. What’s the difference between this one and the that under the
hood? Thanks w203 c320 01

filterheads says:

The filter shouldn’t have anything to do with the a/c shutting down.
However if you’ve never replaced it then it is probably due for a new
filter.

Keeth Y says:

are you kidding me? i have a 2006 merc c230 and i have a filter under
there? what? is this why my A/C shuts off sometimes when i just started it?
-.- it has 90k miles on it and my dealer didnt even tell me about this? ._.

Keeth Y says:
