Well I guess you just learned something then as far as Where Parts are
built as far as Price of parts there are only a few parts that are not
cheap on these and as far as a C220.. That would not be anything i would
say is cheap on parts and i dont deal in them for just that reason.. On the
SLC you can find a whole parts car cheap enough and Used parts are
plentyful and cheap..;-)

Yes.. and its My least fav color on them but orig is best and easier..;-)

W140 is my favorite S class and I would love to own one in the future. You
can never go wrong with these big body benzes as it has more Mercedes value
and feel in it compared to its successors.

I have the same issue. W124 coupe here, 300CE. People say “why do you like
those gay boxy old Mercs”, and what pisses me off is that they call old
Mercs unreliable when its actually the exact opposite.
No thats just some has paint some does not cause its in the process of
being sanded…;-)
not sure what colour you are talking about for that car.If it was Burnt
Silver I beleive that the colour has always been superior to ordinary
silver. Just has that more quality look. Had a W126 500sel in b/s and will
either get a CL or a W140 500 at some stage in that colour. Meantime was
enjoying my S320 on LPG in Smaragshwartz ( a poor not black, not blue, not
green sort of colour) until the Trannie feed to the Rad dropped off through
corrosion yesterday. Doh!

@CerealMarshmallows from what I hear most people generally just disconnect
the alarm because its such a pain in the ass to repair.
Which color will or did you paint this w140? and how many w140’s do you
have in stock? anda why do you carry the w140’s oppose to c220 c320’s more
maintanence needed on c class is the w140 cost less$ for parts!!
Everytime I drive around a w204 owner in my w140, they say look at that old
ads boxy Benz. Also I have people telling me a Chevy cruze handles better
than a w140. Do you agree Nathan

I went back to Original with it. The W140 is what i know and the parts are
plentyful Just better cars averall as well 1 is the Top of the line
Flagship 1 is a Entry Lever Economy Car… Some people just have to have
the newer rounder look.. If you can Handle being Square your farther ahead
i think..;-)

nice i love these cars my dad own a w126 1988 300sel.
One thing I noticed when I was In Netherlands. It seemed like they are More
Popular than Most any older car in Netherlands especially Mercedes and I
have a Hard time with a E and a S I LOVE a S class and at the same time My
First Mercedes I made My Daily Driver for 2 YEars was a 1994 Mercedes E500
still one of My Favorite cars EVER…. Even over a E55 AMG..;–)

They say the W124 is the best Merc ever made 😉
They are generally pretty cheap cars and since they are tax-free if
manufactured before 87 they are popular.
Its a really nice car and should look damn good here in awhile….;-)

What makes it so cheap to work on? I had a mercedes c220 and a 450 slc
parts on both cars were extremely expensive, and I never knew mercedes benz
manufactures parts in mexico, never heard that before!!
Give your bodyman some PROPS, I’ve seen a lot of good work from him.
