Scotty, My Prelude’s steering wheel shakes back and forth at all speeds,
also If I move the wheel back and forth it moves. Both of the front wheels
move. Also both wheels have camber wear.

Brendan Whelan says:

hey scotty, great videos! would this method be the same for a 2001
Hyundai Accent? also,do you recommend a reliable website to order parts
from? I found a site called buyautoparts . com with good deals. Is
this one legit? thanks!

Bernard Niesen says:

I like Scotty’s whimsical nonsensical approach to auto repair! Keep up the
good work Scotty!

kristy kelsey says:

HEY SCOTTY QUICK QUESTION I JUST WATCH YOU VIDEO ABOUT CHANGING LOWER
CONTROL ARM, DO YOU THIN WILL BE THE SAME ON HONDA CIVIC 02 OR WILL BE
DIFFICULT TO CHANGE THANKS

Luke Martin says:

Scotty, do you think my chances are good of finding a lower control arm and
two upper control arms for a 98 Dodge Stratus at the salvage yard? I know
they’re compatible with Stratus’ and Sebring’s up to 2006 and older Cirrus’
and Breeze’s.

I have a 06 Chevy Cobalt and hit some ice and then a curb. Now the front
passenger tire is all the way back against the tire well. (Pressed
completely against it.) Is this usually a control arm that bends when you
hit something like a curb? (Just a guess- I know there is no way to truly
diagnose something without looking at it….) Thanks!

MrSkillfullyDone says:

hey how much would it be to fix a control arm bushing on a mazda 3

Jackson Tu says:

I recently replaced my lower control arm and sway bar end links for my 2004
525i and I’m experiencing a bumpy ride, especially when I’m on the freeway.
Do you know of any common mistakes when changing a lower control arm that
might result to a bumpy ride?

Jesse Langdon says:

hey i got a 99 saturn sc2, the lower control arm needs replaced, but when i
ordered the part i got something that looks nothing like that (www

Alex C. says:

My mechanic has said that I could use new control arms but wants $600 to
replace them. My dad has a garage full of tools that would allow us to do
it ourselves. However, I live 2 hours away and may not be able to make it
back anytime soon. My steering appears to be normal and the steering wheel
does not shake when breaking. Also, I do not hear any odd noises at all
while driving. I guess my questing is: How often do these things completely
break? I know that you may not be familiar with my particular car but from
what I have read it is rare that they actually break.

dan deac says:

Great video and informative. Mr Scotty I have a ford f150 2005 and I have
to replace both LCAs and they have camber and caster bolts for allignament.
If I will mark them for the same position of install with new LCA you think
I still have to do the allignament? Sorry for my english. Thank you

Will Ross says:

Hi, i have a question. My car Seems to be shaking when im in low gears and
the faster i go its still skakes but can barely tell. Somethings definitely
not right. Now im not sure if this could be related but i recently changed
my struts and on one side accidently pulled out my cv axle. And a bunch of
fluid that i believe to be transmission fluid came out. Could it be my
Trans fluid is very low cause the gears to appear to shake? Manual
transmission. Thanks

Lol suspension work is tiring no wonder Scottie’s sweating lol who wouldn’t

Moe Street says:

You made that look to easy how much is a fair price for all of that to be
done because i want to do it myself now and ive been quoted some rediculous
prices

Winston Buzon says:

You said that if your steering wheel shakes when braking. Doesn’t that
also indicate brake rotor warp?

Shana Burns says:

When I got new tires and an alignment last year, the car shop told me that
’07 Hyundai Elantras have rigid control arms so they can’t fully align the
car for the issue I’m having (front tires wear heavily on the inside of the
tires) and I needed to buy adjustable control arms. I found the parts they
suggested online but from what I can tell from looking at videos on how to
install them, what they recommended to me was for the rear only. So two
questions: 1) If the wear issue is on the front tires only, then I need to
replace the control arms on the front tires, right? 2) If I only need to
replace the control arms on the front tires, then I have the wrong parts,
correct?

Hi Scotty, is this process pretty much the same on a 2005 Ford 500? Thanks!

Chase Wilson says:

Hey Scotty, I was recently told my control arm is cracked. I have a 1997
Chevy Camaro. Is this easy enough to change that I could do it myself?

Backwoods Packer says:

We have 98 Ford Explorer and for some reason Ford didn’t push any grease
fittings on our ball joints, but now we are having squeaking and sounds of
metal on metal when we turn the wheel and or hit bumps. Could it be our
lower control arm too?

Rashaad Thomas says:

Hi Scotty,
How does this translate to a 2002 Lincoln LS? I think both lower and upper
control arms in the rear need to be replaced on mine

GRIFFIN XVI says:

Hi Scotty, I’m having issues finding the same model of lower control arm
for my 1997 Pontiac Bonneville so I was wondering if you knew of any good
places that might stock those older model parts or if I should just replace
both control arms if the part fits in the brackets. Thanks a lot!

David Winter says:

Hey Scott. I recently hit a curb in my 91 Geo Storm, and the control arm
got a wrinkle in it. Are any special tools needed to replace my model?

Tony Le says:

Hi Scotty,
Does this video works in a same way for 2003 Honda civic? If so do you have
any recommendation or tips of what should to be expected? Mine really needs
to be replace.

Thank you Scotty!

Levouricon says:

Thanks for the video, Scotty! I have a small problem that I’d like your
help with. I broke the driver side control arm on my 2002 Suzuki Aerio SX,
and while I have moved along in its replacement rather well, I have hit a
snag. The final bolt securing the arm to the frame towards the rear of the
vehicle refuses to do more than turn, and I was wondering if I just need to
be patient and keep twisting, or is this bolt secured with a nut? I have
tried to find both a nut and an easy to find repair manual with no success
thus far.

wilsonryder says:

whats with the sound affects when loosing a bolt?

Cottam69 says:

Very good informative well spoken video. He made the job on show so well

attatched to the wishbone so ball joint remover needed. Great video buddy.
Keep up the good videos. Ur helping us digs afford to keep our cars by
fixing them ourselfs. :-)
