Man I hate to keep bothering you, I am still having this issue. My car
spent all day today at Charlotte county ford, they said after charging me
diagnostic fees that because there was no codes, they and it did not repeat
it while they had it, they can’t fix it? Anything else come to mind? Peace

You have a lot of info. I have a 2001 ford Taurus, 5 times now the theft
light comes on while driving and the car wants to stall but doesn’t. I put
it in neutral and she goes pack to normal, i have checked the battery and

I found a mechanic who smacked the alternator and found it was going bad.

I don’t have a distributor one yet sorry.
The passenger side head light comes on and wants to stall?..any other odd
signs..check engine lights? Is the alternator charging properly? Bad coil
pack or fouled spark plugs maybe…when your cars in gear it puts a load on
the engine, when it’s in neutral it doesn’t causing less strain on the
failing part.The light could be another problem that just acts up from the
vibration of stalling. maybe a loose connection..try giving me some more in
detail info.

Thanks for getting back to me. I will try to give you more details. It has
done it driving around 30 to 40 mph. The theft light came on the car wants
to stall, then i noticed the odometer was reading 40 mph and I was standing
still, also the other idiot lights came on, car never stalled. Car runs
smooth except for this? I had the battery and alt checked, they say fine?
Also the lights and blower go up and down at stop lights? Interior light
flickers? Thank you, Peace

The first 2 things I would check are Alternator and Distributor…I have a
“How To Test A Distributor” In my videos, go to my channel and browse
