This guy on wiki how says the fuel filter for the Mazda is on top of the
gas tank which you can gain access to from a panel underneath the rear
seat. I just Google’d Mazda 6 fuel pump. The second link on Google’s search
page also refers you to ehow where they tell you how to replace it step by
step. Hope this helps.
I get the same code P2177 and now the engine won’t stay on and I smell a
lot of fuel when I try to start it. I also just had the transmission
rebuilt four months ago. Were you able to get your problem fixed?
fdlopez18 Sorry for the typos I’m typing this on my phone. I meant Mass Air
Flow Sensor. Also meant to say the gunk was making the IDLE move up and
down. Also meant to say that if you turn on your car and you smell fuel
then your pump is probably working..
@fdlopez18 yeah it turned out to be the Mass Ai Flow Sensor. Turns out
there was some gunk on the thermistor part of the sensor, so that was
making the move up and down. I’m not sure if your issue is fuel pump
related. I’m guessing that if you smell fuel when you try turning it on
that he pump is. Not sure where your leak would be.
Exactly what I needed to know! Supply side pressure should be between 3.5 –
4.1 bar. Thanks for this.
hey, do you know where is the fuel filter located on your Mazda 6?..
