Just did the front brakes on my wife's 2017 Mazda CX-5. The wear indicator was on the trailing edge of the inner pad, and I reinstalled it that way too, because it just makes more sense. Based on the way the pad wears, putting it on the leading edge would be completely pointless. The trailing edge of the pad would be putting out sparks before the wear indicator ever kicked in. The shop manual doesn't mention it one way or the other.

Hi lovely video. Thanks for taking the time to explain. Please can you confirm where you placed the axle stands?

Every time I have my brakes done on my 2019 Mazda cx5 I have loud noise after while driving. Almost like I’m dragging something as I drive. What step most likely has the mechanic skipped?

Undoubtedly the best video for front Mazda CX5 front brakes I found. Short, concise, easy to follow with no annoying filler. Did mine in about an hour. Thanks for posting.
