The only fan inside the hood is the fan for the engine. One aircon
speciakist told me to instal aux fan to help cool the engine. Im wndering

I hav a b2200 diesel engine. Replaced the head gasket engine works fine but
too much white smoke when it starts everytime it starts.. do u hav any idea
why?
Then when aircon is on temp rises.
Radiator is boiling even when start it for the first time then stops
boiling when it ran..

Thanks for the info.

I hope it works out for you

I’m don’t know half a much about engines as you but I thank you are right
about block something made it blow head gasket before, hope you find
something simple to fix, so carry on.

That sucks man. time for a mercedes-benz om617 swap. then run it on Waste
oil cause diesle is too pricey.

farmboy30117 says:

A diesel swap would be sweet. They put some diesels in Mazda trucks in the
early 80’s.

farmboy30117 says:

Yep good eye only I had the other end attached to a port on the carb which
was causing the fuel issues.

Interested to see what a compression test says.

farmboy30117 says:

Unfortunately I don’t think any fix will be simple or cheap.

farmboy30117 says:

I have a feeling it won’t be good.

Thanks MowerMan

Chas Maniandevil says:

It looks like the vacuum line from the power booster hooks to a hard line
and has no line connecting to engine. This could be a wide open vacuum leak
from the engine.

WhoSaidTyler says:

That engine has hydraulic lash adjusters, no adjustment possible. The
compression test will tell the tale. The cranking speed sounds even, so
maybe it will turn out to be something simple. Btw…that vent on the
distributor cap is to let any moisture inside evaporate.
