Have the belts been changed? That 2.0L Inline 4 is sooooo picky about belt
tension and they have to be tensioned just right, especially the ALT/WP
belt. And if you don’t use OEM Mazda belts it will squeal no matter what
tension is set – you MUST use original Mazda belts. Many people (including
myself) just learn to live with the squeal if you don’t feel like replacing
the belts. However your alt/wp belt squeals long enough that it probably
needs to be either tightened or loosened.

Ive got the same problem on a Honda FRV. It only does it when its cold and
damp, is this the bearing or the belts? Thanks

@MyRedneckLife Hey man thanks for the reply.I took your advice and looked
up on the net on how to tighten that belt on the alternator and tightened
it even more.Guess what, the squeal was gone!!! I recently moved from
Virginia to Florida and I’m thinking the climate change might have expanded
the NON OEM belts? I’m going to order up some OEM belts and have them put
on.I also went to autozone and had the battery and alternator tested and
both tested 100% functional. *K2 thx for checking…
