Use only silicone grease around the seal (at 6:00) Vaseline contains petroleum and the seal will swollen

cisa93 says:

Always bleed the calipers, Why? that fled in the chamber is contaminated and it will affect the seals inside the caliper. No silicone paste on the caliper pins? SMH

Gravemind says:

Electronic parking brakes should be banned.

Are you turning Piston back in or just pushing it in? Hard to see

procharger94 says:

Out of curiosity, why is it necessary to engage the parking brake prior to doing the brake job?

Thanks for changing brakes when it’s absolutely not needed at all. Those rotors and pads were in great shape and plenty of life left. Also, you have not used any torque wrenches and tightened all the bolts like a savage. Something tells me that the guy who does brake pads next time will feel the pain

Andy Mejia says:

You could of avoided taking the motor off by putting the car in maintenance mode.

Gibson In Distress says:

So I have a 2015 mazda 6 with a handbrake for the parking brake. Do I need to have the parking break pulled up while I change the brakes?

Jake Carll says:

You are saying that you cannot get the car to enter maintenance mode? Do you know why that is? And if I’m thinking right? Basically entering maintenance mode will just reset the caliper to the full off position. Which is basically what you did just manually. I did brakes on my cx5 and wasn’t aware of this procedure, and now one of the calipers is hanging up. Do you think if I put it into mainenance mode, and then take it back out that should reset the epb position to the correct position?

GacKy27 says:

Why does this one particular video constantly freeze when I try to play it? What the fuck.

Alex M says:

Thank you, this worked for me on my Mazda. Thumbs up!

Mark D says:

Thanks for making the video. Would it be easier to enter the maintenance mode which retracts the electric parking brake motor? No scan tool required…just follow the steps to enter maintenance mode. I have a 2016 CX5 so I'm going to find out eventually.

Vladislav Gorokhovsky says:

Hi guys! For my Mazda 6 2017. Do I have to enter maintenance mode or not? Because some people say that you cannot push the piston in without to enter maintenance mode. Thank you!
