I would of put some copper slip on the 2 top bolts of schocker the noise they were making when you done them up

Thanks good stuff, I learned a lot from this vid. I found the torque settings in case anyone wants to check the drawing u can download a pdf from this page. Great Vid Dave, thanks for tips, some of which i already use but some new as well. What torque setting would you use for the lower absorber bolts?

Unrelated for me as I think the springs are in good condition on our mazda 2.
Would it be stupid idea to undo the shock and lower the jack enough to place the spring (without it being compressed) in place then slowly raise the jack so you could secure the shock back in place? Assuming there's a risk of it slipping out of place and back firing into the face!

I'll be following your excellent video to replace the shocks though! Thanks very much!
