Great video! I usually take my van in to have the guys change it, but
after seeing how easy it is I’m certainly going to be doing it myself from
now on. Could you perhaps do a video on changing the transmission fluid in
a 2000 MPV too?

Daoud Aqtash says:

Please don’t use Fram oil filters. The filter media will collapse after
3,000 miles. This video was very informative nonetheless.

I don’t think this vehicle has a oil cooler,maybe it’s the head gasket.I
won’t be able to do a a vid on that unless I have to actually fix it,and
have a mpv to do so.

Thank you,for your comment.

Thank you so much for making this video. I’m tired of paying $80.00 per oil
change every 3,000 miles.

Anytime thanks for watching.

Hi there. Did you unscrew the oil drain plug clockwise or counterclockwise?
I decided to do my own oil change, but apparently after years of taking it
to Jiffy Lube not only is the screw head almost stripped, but it looks like
they epoxyed it to the pan…I just can’t get it out and I though maybe I
was turning it in the wrong direction. I am not sure what to do now…

my mom owns a mpv in jamaica and recently oil got into the coolant bottle
and we didn’t know how so it was in the evening the car started to overheat
and my dad called the mechanic he said the oil cooler must have burst
internally he didn’t even see the vehicle and said that the oil cooler
cooled the oil by letting the coolant ciurculat around it that how oil got
in the water i’m asking can you do a video of how to change the oil cooler

Parm Singh says:

Great! double thumb!!! Well recorded to show step by step. Thanks

allan burl says:

Nice! you show it in a simple and easiest and most of all the cheapest than
going to dealer. Double thumbs up!!!!!

down to move the filter out the way lo.

hp11208 says:

@theologyiscool Counter wise righty tighty lefty loosey ,use the exact fit
socket. If its strip use a smaller size socket or just take the whole oil
pan out.Hope this helps thanks for watching.
