Did you use dexron III or mercon V?
Would this work on a Mazda 3 2011 model , or is there Any changes on models
compared to yours ??
What type of fluid did you use Rich?
Have you ever had problems with your ps pump or the ps light has ever been
on?
i need to seriously get this done on my ’09 speed3, our cars are slightly
different under the hood (the reservoir is smaller) but i wasn’t sure which
hose needed to be disconnected under the car, i think that much is the same
at least
thanks for the fast reply ghostlyrich. great info. you must be a mazda
mechanic!
how often should you change the power steering fluid? the manual just says
to check but not replace it
It could have been better if you had let the new oil flush in the system
since you took the tube out already..but this is a good stuff ;)..thanks
for sharing
Very nice and helpful video. I have a Mazda 3 2010. (bought it used), It
has 70K kilometers on the clock. (Canada, so metric rules.) Anyway, it
looks like there’s some dirt in the reservoir. I’ve done my best to remove
it using paper towel and cleaning it up as best I can from where I can
reach the dirt. The PS is fine no issues so far, but I thnk I’ll wait for a
warm day to replace the fluid. It’s -12 C with the wind chill this morning
here in Toronto. Your video is very helpful for this issue. Thanks again!
good job their ghostlyrich. i like the low cost funnel. ps does the 2005
mazda 3 with factory air have the cabin filter? my owners manual shows the
air filter only .thanks alot .
