dj gregory says:

do you need hi and low beam bulbs or no?

Matthew Fronda says:

Can you replace the bulb for the fog light too?

everythingdiy says:

We ran this setup for a year with the headlights on the entire time the car
was operation without a single issue or blow fuse. A modern cars headlight
wires will be able to handle a 5 amp increase without problem. I do agree
that in some situations this is not the ideal setup, so a couple months ago
we did a video showing how to install a relay kit to take the load of the
power switch and headlight wires. We linked this video at the beginning if
you are interested. Thanks for watching!

kewlkiddo22 says:

Changing fuses is a bad idea, fuses are meant to be 15 for safety meaning
if you get a short , the first will pop and prevent you from having
electrical problems . changing the fuse and upping up to 20 might cause the
wiring to heat up and melt and could damage your electrical.

matthew newton says:

Man iv bet your bf or husband loves the hell ourtta you. Id be so happy to
find a.girl.as interested as I am in my speed3

everythingdiy says:

The assembly should be the same as the car in the video. I’m pretty sure
Mazda only uses projectors in their new vehicles so you’re okay to install
these. Let me know if you need any help. Thanks!!

mamamia greens says:

hi great video , i have a 2013 mazda 3 HB, and i think the shape of the
headlight is the same as yours . so i was wondering does this headlight
have the light projector, because people it is illegal to install HID light
with out the projector , so i just want to make sure that these headlights
already have the projectors in them . plz reply Thank you

everythingdiy says:

What type of car is it?

Andrew Kim says:

I installed a H11 conversion kit but the center of the light is dark. Why
is that? When I shine onto a wall its dark in the centers

everythingdiy says:

One of the best brands is Morimoto, but they’re pricey. I would recommend
Kensun they are sub $100 and high quality. I’ve had these Kensun’s
installed for a year and a half with no issues whatsoever.

DarkClanZone says:

I’m thinking about going HID on my Mazda 3 as well. Still looking at kits,
don’t know which to get. Also want HID fogs, my stock lights literally do
nothing. I need some good trusted sites though.

everythingdiy says:

hey sorry for the delay. You don’t need a projector assembly, no, but it is
recommended. Not having one is fine but it will be blind other drivers.
I’ve seen them on silverados and they look really good but they’re kind of
on the bright side. Thanks for watching!

breakerwon9 says:

hey @everythingdiy i have a 2001 silverado, i was wondering if id need to
buy the headlight projector assembly or if i can just use my stock
headlights and place the HID bulb into it ?

Andre Vapes says:

What is the use of the balis or what ever?

Aaron Brown says:

Um hid come in different colours

Aaron Brown says:

Um oil will not cause your old bulb to burt

doctorjango1 says:

4300k is the standard in stock production cars. Car makers do this because
it is the optimum temperature for light output. Anything above 5000k and
you are sacrificing light output for the look of a blue headlight. The host
here is correct in doing the swap into a car with projector housings.
Throwing an hid kit into your civic or Toyota pickups stock housings
doesn’t do anything but blind everyone else on the road. Do as shown in the
video yo.

Nothingface5384 says:

deflector, not reflector 🙂

doctorjango1 says:

Edit: I used to run a 6000k kit in aftermarket projectors and I found that
they did not light the road enough. If you are looking into a kit, and
value light output stay 5000k or less.

everythingdiy says:

They’re great! I use them everyday without issue, I even run the during the
day. Might buy a new pair to do the fog lights. Thanks for watching!

everythingdiy says:

You need to use a socket or a wrench to turn it. Don’t remember the size,
just that it was under 10mm.

MrMobiletechguy says:

Awesome job Ally. I just ordered the kit 🙂

everythingdiy says:

Mazda had a package available but it was not worth the extra $700+ just for
the lights, I bought this kit for $60. I have the tech package (bose sound,
navigation, push button start) but I don’t know why they were not included.
I know the 2012 Mazdaspeed tech packages now comes with them. Guess it’s
mazda’s way of adding something “new” every year. Thanks for watching!

ildrichaseron says:

lol omygosh you read my mind! yeahh i just had it installed and my
passenger side is perfectly fine but my driver’s side’s a little low.. how
did you turn it? did you use a tool? it seems pretty difficult to twist it
by hand.. :/

Nothingface5384 says:

yes, a true HID system has a projector to focus the light beam so you have
the correct light pattern and beam cutout also I beleive the factor HID
projection housings have the projectors obviously..but also has a reflector
to keep the beam from scattering off to the ide blinding oncomming
traffic..but since all new cars the lens are clear and not fluted like my
70s car or h1/h4 replacement cibbies/hella/bosh reflector housings it may
not be as severe.

diosxmakina says:

Hi i was just wondering what is the size of the bulb for our 2010 ms3?
Thank u

everythingdiy says:

Your bulb size is 9003 so look for any kit with that same specification.
Thanks for watching!

DeluxeKnockers says:

Hi, so, my question is that I have a 2003 Acura TL Type-S. Apparently all
Acura TL’s use HID, which cost more than I can afford since I’m a college
student. I know how to change bulbs but I’ve never had a car with HID’s and
I don’t know much about cars but I’m wondering if I can put regular halogen
bulbs in instead of HID’s? The guys over at AutoZone and Pepboys said I
needed to put in HID’s but I can’t afford $100 a bulb, whereas regular
bulbs start at $10.

adriaetr94 says:

And by the way where did you buy the conversion kit?

Kmac LA says:

And where do you buy this “godlike” kit?…..

everythingdiy says:

The ones I have a pretty nice. They’ve worked flawlessly since I got them.
If you are looking for super bright halogen try Phillips CrystalVision or
Sylvania Silverstar Ultra. I use CrystalVision for fog lights. They are
very bright and more white than any other Halogen bulb on the market.

everythingdiy says:

Purchased on Amazon, but I believe Kensun sells them in their eBay store
for cheaper. Thanks for watching!

curt O'hoolislug says:

i can think of something that Ally cant do herself

everythingdiy says:

Go on amazon and look up “kensun hid slim ballast conversion kit”. I think
the light bulb size for your car is H1. I would suggest either 5000K or
6000K bulb color. Anything higher will be really blue (illegal) and
anything lower will be yellow. 5000K is the whitest and brightest while
6000k has a slight tint of blue (6000K was used in the video). They look
great on Mazda’s you should diffidently try them out. Let me know if you
need more info. Thanks for the comment!

Carlos Rodriguez says:

What watts is your ballast? 35w or 55w?

ITZBLOWN says:

So the hids are legal at 6k?

sciullo779 says:

is there any added glare? and hows the cutoff?

kylie moore says:

So any problem’s with flickering light ? I also heard these can fry your
headlight switch any problems with that ? I put these on my volvo ran them
for a year no problems now i want to put them on my Bmw

rob grabill says:

For the Kensun Conversion kit, I found one on amazon it is the 9006 (HB4)
size. I have a 2012 Mazda 3 touring. do you know if this size will fit?

everythingdiy says:

Thank you so much! We are working on getting more videos posted soon. There
have been so many things going on lately that it’s just hard to find time
to work on videos. We are planning on some great uploads in the future
where we do a complete brake overhaul and install a cat back exhaust. I
promised the will be posted soon.

kevnhi says:

Thumbs up…just a note, you don’t really need a relay unless you have a
bulb that is a high, low such as a H4. Good vid.

everythingdiy says:

Yes the high beams will remain the same. If you want you can upgrade these
as well but it’s, in my opinion, completely unnecessary. 5000K is the
brightest and whites bulb. But, personally I like 6000K because it has a
slight blue tint.

everythingdiy says:

I think you need H11. I don’t think 9006 will fit.

Acuravigor47 says:

I love the blue MS3s. Why did they discontinue that nice color? Mine is red
btw. Its nice too..

DeluxeKnockers says:

Thank you!

kylie moore says:

Thanks for reply ,thats good to hear however just in case I think i’m going
to install a relay those lights put out so much more voltage than my stock
system, good video tho..

FocusBoy949 says:

What is the bulb number for the Mazdaspeed you are workin on? H1?

everythingdiy says:

I would highly advise against connecting xenon bulbs without a ballast. You
can cause a fire, damage your cars electrical system, or melt leads and
wires. The ballast controls amperage and volts. HID lights require 20 amps
to start up and quickly fall down to around 3. Connecting HID’s without a
ballast will give the bulb a constant electrical and amperage flow that it
is not designed to handle after start up. The bulbs will eventually
malfunction and could potentially cause serious damage.
