Muhar Haham says:

Than you forgot your radio code:
Step one:- press one at a time- preset 6, AM, Auto M, Seek ^ (up).
Step Two:-Input this number, 4989.
Step Three:- Press and hold Auto M and Preset 6 together.
Step Four:- The Word ‘GOOD’ will appear on the screen indicated that the radio will work.
Step Five:- Reprogram new Antitheft code into radio as per instrution manual.

Muhar Haham says:

Many thanks for the great video!

Paul Sparrow says:

Thanks alot man. The instructions in the box are garbage and just say in behind the glove box you can slide them out lol.

ghostlyrich says:

glad it helped

andrew webb says:

thanks man I went from a 2002 Honda to a 2008 mazda- it took a while but using your instructions is was able to replace them you’re a lifesaver-thanks again

.h says:

The problem is most likely because you did now plug everything back in correctly. Go back in there and make sure that everything is plugged in correctly. Also, make sure the switches are pulled all the way forward when you install them back in.

.h says:

Most likely you did not attach correctly the connectors on the fuse box. This can also change your units from miles to KM. Dismantle it again and make sure that the connectors are plugged all the way in and the switches are correctly pulled forward.

ghostlyrich says:

sorry bud late reply did you try pulling your neg for 15 mins then re attaching ?

Jorge James says:

I did Change the filters,,,, but now I dont have turn signals, factory alarm charming alarm , brake lights ,,, how do I reset all that ???????????????????

Anna Gonzalez says:

yea, never gone change it

TheVblaster says:

I worked on a 2004 mazda 3 today and managed to change the filters without removing the glove box or even disconect the PJC box, just had to remove the suport. I recomend the disconection of the PJC, is much more easier, as for the glove box I don’t see the necessity at all. In my case I didn’t the PJC box because the owner of the car didn’t knew the radio code.

Al B says:

I’ll die with that filter in there. There is no way I’m ripping apart my car to replace that cabin air filter. You have to wonder who the phuk engineered that for Gods sake?

jeffreyto1 says:

Thanks for the video — it really helped a lot. Not an easy process though! It’s hard to see the last four screws on that last panel!

ghostlyrich says:

hey just seen you left a channel comment. yes the 6/8, 5/7 slip right into the speaker opening and i highly suggest cross overs and tweets. “component speakers. check out my cross overs and tweets video

spacecalander says:

What a brutal process for a cabin air filter, that i would say is a poor design.

Jeoffry Ross says:

Thank you for the video. I have been looking for the filter number, and am now learning that the 05 has just dummy frames in there. Just changed my spark plugs, valve cover gasket, and oil. On to bleed the brakes and pick up the cabin filters

A. şahin says:

I would not recommend. 2 nuts welded to the insurance carrier. need a lot of force, I have done by tilting the plate

warlordaderol says:

Hey guys, hows it goin

ghostlyrich says:

the double din radio is a pioneer avh8400 this year is the 8500

Marco Vittorio says:

Where did you get the screen thing near your climate controls? I’ve seen and heard of it but I can’t remember where. Was it easy to install?

Andrew Majewski says:

Great video but very poor design on Mazda’s part.

ghostlyrich says:

no sorry :(this one has to be through that access compartment

carrie4492 says:

Do you really have to take your car apart? Is there an easier was like through the engine like some cars?

ghostlyrich says:

i heard they put plastic frames in them with no filters. you can pull the plastic frames out and put the filters in. From what i heard from other 3 owners

Joe Smith says:

I’ve got a 2004 3s. I was told there wasn’t a cabin air filter in this model. Is that true?

ghostlyrich says:

good stuff

John Smith says:

No I check the pressure twice a year and it’s always spot on, no leaks.

ghostlyrich says:

easier if you do and only a extra 5 mins

ghostlyrich says:

do you have ac? maybe needs a recharge or tlc

John Smith says:

It was just the filter with the foam on top, I didn’t really feel like going out to get another set and ended up just putting back everything together. I am blessed with the infamous diffusers in my ’05 anyways so I thought why not just leave it, it’s been that way for so many years! I’ve been noticing lately though my air system has been randomly making an odd noise, having decreased air flow and is not cold at all but after a while will go back to normal.

Alexmagic1000 says:

YOU DON’T HAVE TO TAKE OUT THE GLOVE BOX

ghostlyrich says:

thats crazy man. what part broke ?

John Smith says:

This is freaking outrageous. I broke the top filter in the process of trying to get the damn thing in there. I freaking give up on this thing.

Peter Candia says:

I almost attempted to do this job myself but I figured I should drive to my local dealer and ask how much it would cost for them to do it. Just had the cabin air filter replaced in my 2006 Mazda 3 by Long Beach Mazda for $39.99…woohoo!!! That was for part and labor–thanks LB Mazda!

Coaljet says:

That’s insane.. it’s as if they purposely made it hard to reach just to make you take it to the dealers. Why not have a flap door on the upper side of the dash… geez.

Banakam says:

I’m doing an 06 tomorrow. Thanks for the video, looks like I’m going to need it.

ghostlyrich says:

fresh air is best! you did good time n switching them out to

couz650 says:

Thanks for the video. Took me about 10 min to reach the filters wich i did not have because ’04 and ’05 were equiped with plastic dummys! But we will breath fresh air now!

ghostlyrich says:

np glad it helped you out mate

andrew625 says:

That was quite the process! I wanted to check this out cuz someone said that clogged filter may potentially affect A/C performance. My A/C isn’t working at all but i still wanted to give it a shot. Found out my filters don’t have any screens lol what i found inside were two plastic frames! Anyway, thank you very VERY much for the instruction vid! Helped a lot!

ghostlyrich says:

atleast you get a new wrench set but yea the cabin air filter change is a pain!

Ben Forman says:

First of all, motherf**k Mazda for making this so insanely hard. Second, I got all the way to the metal frame and just could not get those bolts loose. I did only have an adjustable wrench, and didn’t wanna strip them. I’ll have to try again later. Putting the fuse assembly back together is harder than taking it apart! Anyway, I’ll have to take a trip to Home Depot and buy a better wrench set. I’ve been meaning to do it anyway, and now my wife will understand why! Thanks for the video.

ghostlyrich says:

glad it helped mate

brouwerproductions says:

Just followed these steps and it worked great. Thanks for posting.

ghostlyrich says:
