Tearing Apart My Blown Engine Lotus Evora

Tearing Apart My Blown Engine Lotus Evora

TODAY is the day we finally get started on rebuilding the blown engine Lotus Evora. It may not look like much but removing the rear clam in total took about 4-5 hours especially with broken studs and seized bolts. But, that’s what you get when you sign up for a broken down project car!

Stay tuned to see what’s next and my reveal of the new twin-turbo V8 build that will be replacing the Tesla Model 3.

Good job. Just a couple of things I noticed. In the engine bay, the "chimney pipe" that vents hot air away from the exhaust manifold on the front cylinder bank up through the sail panel was missing. The engine bay is very toasty on the stock NA, so the more bay cooling/venting the better with your supercharged set up. An Evora 400 rear undertray would also be a wise upgrade as it lets more air into the bay. I also noticed that your tail light bezels look like they've been glued onto the rear clam. I just changed one of the bezels on my Evora today as the chrome finish came off. I guess if you are going to repaint the clam at any time, it could be tricky to prepare that area for paint. Carbon fibre bezels from GRP would look great though.

Do you and Schmodified work on the cars together, or separately to maintain marital bliss?
