You should have been using a hot air gun to take off thr protective wrap?
The Lotuses have very specific jacking points and differ depending on the application. You really need to look this up as you can damage the chassis or have a big accident in the garage if you do it wrong.
Do not lift the car using the jacking points which are infront of the rear wheels, you must use the ones behind the engine (under the diffusor). There is a big risk of it falling off the lift as 60% of the weight is at the rear! The jacking points at the rear side are for a trolley jack and will lift the whole side of the car up.
I really enjoyed your video and good work on the Exige. one comment to make is when you had the car up on the 2 post lift it appears you lifted it with the rear jacking point, with the weight in the back this can cause the car to fall off the lift backwards. there are designated lifting points which require the rear underbody panel to be removed and its more rear/center of the point you are using to lift the car.

I hope you figured this out already, but you can remove the front and rear clsmshells in just a couple hours. That would allow you access to all those cracks from both sides. It will also help if you need to replace the radiator or oil coolers in tbe front. You will also then be able to see both subframes and most of the tub to check for damage.
