absolutely love it makes for quick work of most situations… i have
encountered a handfull of very tight or rusted bolts that it will not budge
but even most of these if you just give them a quick crack with a breaker
you can get them the rest of the way with it… however they do sell a
larger one but it doesnt fit into smaller places as well

Nathan Reed says:

do you turn the air ride back on to aline it

Tom barnett says:

thats a davids farm trick!!

MrMustangMan357 says:

tie rod, not U joint lol 🙂

wagner59270 says:

just normal wear and tear… I know I kept having brain farts lol

Brad morrison says:

ya my chevy venture does that. thanks man

a1986ford says:

thats a good way to replace outer tierods if you want to keep replaceing
them. next time try torqeing the castle nut bc when they get over tightened
they generally fail faster

heliarche says:

They make a ball joint puller in a couple different sizes.Check around and
you may find one that works. They can take a tie rod end off without ruining
the boot and no banging required.

NotARealUTubeAccount says:

“your u-joint will fall ut and you will roll over and die” “I don’t want
that to happen….” Best lines i ever heard in a youtube vid in a while!

wagner59270 says:

the car will wander and if you jack it up and push the tire back and forth
it will have alot of slop

wagner59270 says:

yeah i know… I watched the video and was like what the heck… I was
kinda wondering when someone would catch it

bigblockluv says:

great vid!!!!!!

justin cotter says:

@MrMustangMan357 Ball joint.. not tie rod or U joint…

TheMilitarynut says:

Hey, you gonna do an update on the grader?

SuperMjans says:

do you know how to replace a front driver side wheel bearing could i just
buy the hub bearing and replace that without having anything pressed in by
a shop let me know thanks

Dan Mersch says:

You can also put a jack under it and tap on the side of the knuckle where
the tie rod is inserted

fordbroncodave says:

you didn’t explain why they were bad in the first place. those are not U
joints silly lol

atcklx says:

in school we were doing a tie rod end on a frightshaker with a pickle fork
and a 12 pound sledge on nothing

Sir Timothy Miller says:

DUDE!! I have a Town Car with bad tie rods, but I didn’t know how to
replace them, and keep them aligned… YOU SAVED ME BIG BUCKS, cause a
garage and a Lincoln dealership told me that I needed new ball joints, and
I was so convinced that I actually went and bought them, but upon hearing
about my problem, I investigated further, and found that it’s not my ball
joints, but my tie rods that squeak on my front end. And your video has
saved me over $200 that I really can’t afford to lose. THANK YOU!

mherkamp says:

do you like that electric impact wrench? I don’t really have access to an
air source for a conventional deal, and was wondering how much torque it
puts out and have you encountered things it wouldn’t budge, etc?

Tom Johnston says:

Excellent! Thanks for posting these helpful videos. Your pretty amazing for
being able to hold the video camera in one hand while doing the job with
the other. Thanks again.

wagner59270 says:

ahh yes that works as well I forgot to mention that one

wagner59270 says:

oh is that so… so please explain why a tie rod would fail from over
tightening the castle nut

therockkkkher says:

how does a tie rod go bad? the new one looked nice but couldnt tell the
difference, and would they eventually break or is it another issue? i was
watching matco tools channel and they say they have the strongest air
wrench (i dont know if it is, it supposedly took off 90ft tork when another
couldnt) but i dont have an air setup either, what kind of electric do you
have?

SalernoAutoRepair says:

Nice work, Rednecks! Much respect form Brooklyn…

gloria Ramirez says:

Nice job short and sweet mike FDNY

Right Beat Radio says:

“and you’ll probably roll over and die.” nice and honest.. i like that haha
..thanks for the vid!

Brad morrison says:

how do u no when tie rod ends are bad?

visualvirtue says:

Why did you need to replace the tie rods? What was wrong? What was the
problem? What do tie rods do? Nice job multitasking!

Sir Timothy Miller says:

Oh, and one more thing, if the boot is bad, if it’s an easy explanation, do
you know how to replace it properly? I don’t want to keep a bad boot on
there, and mess up a new tie rod end, lol. Again, thanks! This video is
extremely helpful!

therockkkkher says:

thanks again wayne, i used to drive the heck out of my ford ranger, mudding
and jumping, it probably needed new ones bad, im glad i didnt have an
accident!!!! i got an f250 now and refuse to mess it up, its just too nice,
and i found better vids on impact wrenches!!!

ShawnCFarm says:

Another way to break the tie rod end free is to hit on the spindle where
the tie rod end bolts into realy hard from the side with a hamer.

wagner59270 says:

all in good time… patience is a virtue lol

elantra11 says:

The best way to preserve an alignment is to count how many full turns you
made with the old tie rod so you can make the same amount of turns on a new
one.

wagner59270 says:

so long as you dont move the position of the tie rod end you should be just
fine

TheMilitarynut says:

You can’t count on your two hands and feet how many times I have heard
that. Not just said to me, but heard in general. I’ll be waiting for that
vid man. Regards from Anaheim CA.

gbritz2010 says:

Boopity boobity

Casey Rodriguez says:

Always turn the castle nut upside down. You doing want to pound the weak
side of the nut!

TheMilitarynut says:

Just a tad bright, but good vid anyways. 5/5

wagner59270 says:

really simple dude just pull the boot off the top of the tie rod end once
its off and put the new one on, glad I could help, there is nothing I hate
worse than a dealership taking advantage of its customers, and I used to
work at one LOL

wagner59270 says:

just general wear and tear… what happens is the ball that hangs in the
socket on the tie rod end gets loose and allows the tire to flop side to
side even while your steering wheel is straight… if they are not replaced
the ball will eventually fall out of the socket and the wheel will go
whichever way it wants… usually sending the car into the ditch

ntrains says:

those jack stands are unsafe you need the 2 1/2 ton stands

wagner59270 says:

I dunno these ones have held up the grain truck before so I feel pretty
safe with them… besides buying new ones would cost me money, precious
precious money lol
