I didn’t relieve the pressure its not necessary. The fuel pressure is low and there’s not much fuel in the lines, maybe 3 or 4 cups worth. I just let it run out on the ground and sprinkled some kitty litter to soak it up.

The $6.99 tool is for removing the metal spring loaded teeth on the fuel filter which hold it in place on the fuel line..

you don’t have to buy that tool. You can start the engine and pull the fuel pump relay. Save $6.99
