#mrtalentedreid

Reason why I replace both switches is because cruise control switch broking and the brake switch faulty light comes on sometimes or stay on.

Thanks for the video. Nice job. I have a 2001 LS with the six cylinder engine. My problem started about a month ago when I couldn't get the car out of park. I also noticed that my brake lights were not consistently coming on. Doing some research I found that it could be the brake switch. Last week I went to the U-Pullit yard and got a cruise control and brake switch off of a 2005 LS. When I pulled my brake switch out, it was obviously bad. I could see that the plunger was between 1/8 to 1/4" shorter…stuck in the switch. I put in the new (old) one and the problem was solved. I was going to also replace the cruise control switch as sometimes the cruise control wasn't disengaging when I'd tap on the brakes. But, I couldn't get the cruise control switch out. There is a wiring harness sitting on it and no room to get it out. I'll try again. However, just replacing the brake switch solved the cruise problem too.
