Valve Cover Gasket Replacement #lexus #toyota #ls430 #sc430 #v8 #3uz

how to replace valve cover gaskets and related components on a 3uz-fe engine. this is on a ls430 but the process is the same for sc430 and very similar process to the tundra Sequoiah lexus and toyota v8 engines with timing belts..

I’ve been replacing all the broken stuff on my LS as well. Did the starter (watched your video), power steering rack, lines, pump, inner and outer tie rods , LCA bushings. The previous owners last mechanic that did the valve cover gaskets couldn’t get them to stop leaking so I’ve been hesitant to do it because of how tight everything is and trying to keep that gasket in place looked awful. I’ve done plenty of Toyota 3.4s and 4.7s but this 4.3 looked painful. The crazy glue just changed my mind lol. After watching your video I’m assuming he didn’t put the FIPG on the front side of the valve cover because that’s where it’s leaking down onto the ac compressor driver side and both headers making a mess.
Would you know of any other things that could be leaking up there besides the obvious valve cover leak? I know the cam seals were done but unfortunately not the vvti seals.
