My Bmw 330e(292hp) of 2021 does 51 Miles per Gallon, electric range +/-37 miles, that Toyota can't keep up, and I was expecting better.
So true on the tires. First year I got 3 flats and I had insurance, Toyota replaced them all. That's like 1300 bucks right there. I popped a couple more times…but I've learned to avoid pot holes, etc. and this is on the Camry (newer 2018 low profile Hankooks). Handles great though!

I have a 2011 Avalon with 122k miles on it and it runs like a sewing machine. Only thing that has broken after 11 years is the rear sunshade gear. This final generation is hideous looking and the interiors feel much tighter than the older ones. I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off.
My mom had old school Avalon from 1992 it still running
You can get the 2022 Honda Insight for $25,000 and get even better gas mileage than this Toyota.
